Players’ complaints surrounding the cooldown mechanic began with Diablo 4 fans dubbing the game’s mount cooldown, “the dumbest thing in gaming.” With the topic of in-game cooldowns again in the news after the recent Diablo 4 Campfire Chat livestream, many players have been begging Blizzard to approach the issue from a similar perspective to that of the Path of Exile 2 developers. With it being nearly two months since the game’s release and many fans still not happy with cooldown implementation, many have now begun pointing to games that do it right in their eyes, namely Path of Exile 2. Since Diablo 4’s release, players have noted their frustration at Blizzard’s forced cooldown times on many in-game mechanics. It’s fair to say that Blizzard can’t seem to strike a good balance when it comes to their vision for Diablo 4 mechanics and what players want.
